Catching up on some details. The Wenge Fretboard. Going to use small, gold, vintage frets. Slotted and ready to glue onto the neck. The Neck with Truss rod in situ. Ready for glueing.
So, this is how we do pinstriping. The end result you can see in the featured pic. Basically, after routing the American Walnut Body, we glue on the strips of the contrasting maple. After Trimming, we then glue on the
Rough cut out Neck and American Walnut Wings Done. Check the Pin striping in the Neck block!! We got 2 necks out of each laminated block. So there will be 4 Projects here ultimately.
The Baby is complete. Strung up and set up. Wiring sorted. The TVjones Pickups provide a Jangly Rockabilly Grind. The Bigsby works a treat thanks to the Towner USA Much more robust and fun to play.
Did someone say “we need more clamps”. Neck slabs Glued with black and white veneer between to create pinstripes. So, the slabs are slab sawn and after glueing and camping will be cut to create two quarter sawn laminated necks.
