“This is not a pedal you can just plug into & create your ultimate dely sound in 5 mins, if you think you can, you will be disappointed. After we failed, we decided to read the instructions & then understood that all the controls interact with each other & you need to understsnd that relationship. Maxing out length of swell won’t give you self oscillation, when adjusted with the tone control you can have as much self oscillation as you could ever want.”
“You have to learn the delay, it’s almost like it’s own instrument than an effect pedal, you can’t just turn a knob to get a longer delay feedback or more wet signal to come through. You find there are pairs of knobs that work in conjunction with each other, so to achieve that longer delay feedback you turn one up & the other down & find a balance that gives you what your looking for. Once you understand this relationship between various knobs, you can create some amazing music. It’s a big factor to find the head combination that suits your taste as a starting point & then adjust the controls around that. Once it’s set to your liking you then adjust the motor speed to fine tune, then the age of damage to give it character, then wow! Nothing else sounds like it. We tested it all day in the studio on Sunday & it blew us away. We didn’t have a chance to record any samples or demo, but now we have an understanding how to create the sound we want, we will be recording some demos on the weekend”
