I recently picked up this 1996 Rickenbacker 330 husk to use as a project.
The intern is not to restore it to original but create something of unique beast.
I will document its progress here and provide as much info as I can on the parts used.
I chose the Rickenbacker 330 as I am firstly a huge Ric fan and having owned several and currently own 3, I’ve always wanted to customise one. The JetGlo 330 seems perfect.
My intention is to fit a Bigsby, TOM Roller Bridge, Non-Ric Pickups (Undecided which as yet).
I may or may not keep Ric aesthetics for the pickguards etc. Will see how this develops.
Feel free to comment and leave suggestions.
First piece to go on is Winfield Vintage TOM Vintage Base plate Adaptor. A perfect fit. Bolts straight on. Braided earth wire inserted through hole under the base.
